St John's School is a wonderful place to learn and to play!

The childen who come to our school flourish in our 'family school' environment because they are encouraged to value their learning experiences, to achieve their best and to look after and respect each other.

They leave St John's as well-rounded individuals ready for their next steps in their education and ready for the outside world.

Year 2 End of KS1 SAT's Party!, by Miss Ollier

Date: 24th May 2017 @ 9:25pm

This afternoon the children in Year 2 celebrated completing their end of KS1 SAT's test with a Teddy Bear's Tea Party. All of the children brought in their favourite teddy bear and they joined us for the afternoon. During the register all of the children introduced their teddy bears to the rest of the class and then they decorated their tea party plates. We then played musical chairs and musical bumps and some of the children chose to colour in some teddy bear tea party pictures. We then sat in a circle altogether and the children had some tea party treats. We had Pom Bear crisps (teddy bears), carrot sticks, apple slices, bananas and fairy cakes. We then went out on to the school field to play some parachute games. Some of the children chose to play on the playground equipment aswell. At the end of the day we had a story time about teddy bears and the children all had an orange ice lolly.

We had a fabulous time and the children all really deserved their party for working so hard in their tests!

Well done Year 2 we are very proud of you!

Sandbach Christmas Market 2015, by Mr Norbury

Date: 5th Dec 2015 @ 1:53pm

A massive well done to all of the children who took part in this year's Christmas celebrations in Sandbach. On Thursday, they sang at the Tree of Light celebration. It is a very poignant time for many people and our choir made us very proud.

On Friday, the choir performed at Sandbach Christmas Market. They performed twice and were absolutely amazing. As you can see for the video below, we have many reasons to be proud of this bunch of singers(and dancers). For a school with about 160 pupils, it is amazing that more than a quarter of them take part in all choir activities.

We would also like to thank all the parents and families of these children, for getting them to these events and LOUDLY supporting them!  It means alot to them.

Miss Dean and Mr Norbury cannot wait for Young Voices in March, it is going to be a wonderful experience with this group.

Additional Message from Carolyn Lowe,

Thank you so much for your support at the Christmas Market. The choir sang beautifully. Please pass on my congratulations to the children on their performance. Music produces such a fantastic atmosphere it makes all the difference to the event. We really appreciated your attendance and hope that you all enjoyed the event.

I've already had some good feedback from residents and shop owners, which makes it all worthwhile.I hope that you will be able to join us again next year.
Kind Regards,
Carolyn

Enjoy the video and Merry Christmas.
