Reading at home

Reading with your child at home if very important as it encourages learning in all aspects of school life.

Asking questions and talking about books is a great way to explore your child’s understanding of the book and will enhance their comprehension skills. You can find suggested questions inside the reading record book. The home reading reward scheme will start as books are sent out this term. The children in year 4 will be rewarded every 5 books they read and will be able to bring a small teddy reading buddy for a day. The reading record books must be signed by an adult to count.
