The making of new Environmental Activists!

Date: 29th Jan 2020 @ 3:03pm

Today we have been learning about Single use plastics and how plastic is damaging our environment, especially the seas and oceans and what lives in them. We were shocked by some of the facts:

  • There are more pieces of plastic in the ocean than fish!
  • In the UK alone, 79% of plastic is put into landfill sites!
  • Plastics consistently make up 60 to 90% of all marine debris studied!
  • Our fish and animals are swallowing our waste plastic and dying!

The children in J3 believe this is a very serious matter and want to be heard, so watch this space as we have the next group of environmental activists in the making..........
